Xpert Takes on the Runway Run for Air Ambulance NI

On Wednesday 9 September, members of the Xpert Workwear team joined Air Ambulance Northern Ireland’s 5K Runway Run at Belfast City Airport.

We’ve taken part in a few fundraising events over the years, but running on an airport runway was a new one for us. The evening started in the airport concourse, where everyone gathered for the warm-up before heading out onto the tarmac.

Earlier this year, we took on the Dragon Boat Race for Air Ambulance NI. The Runway Run gave us another chance to get together outside work and support the charity, this time with no paddles required.

There was a great turnout. Belfast City Airport reported that 500 people took part and the event raised £35,000 in total. It was good to see so many people making the effort for the same cause.

Air Ambulance NI is our 2026 Xpert Foundation charity partner. Many of our customers work in farming, trades and construction, where serious accidents can happen without warning. The charity brings critical care directly to people who need it across Northern Ireland, which is why we’re proud to support its work.

Thanks to Air Ambulance NI, Belfast City Airport, the volunteers and everyone who took part. We enjoyed the run and were glad to be part of a brilliant result for the charity.

You can find out more about our partnership on the Xpert Foundation page.
